Jean-Marc Cerrone, больше известный как Cerrone, родился в 1952 году в Париже. Вместе с Giorgio Moroder (“первооткрыватель” знаменитой диско-дивы Donna Summer) он внес наибольший вклад в развитие европейского диско, практически, они стали родоначальниками ранней house-музыки.
Только с 1976 по 1979 г. он продал более чем 10 миллионов экземпляров пластинок со своими записями. Всего же, на сегодняшний день, общий тираж продаж превышает 30 миллионов.
